If you’re a football (the soccer kind) fan, chances are, at one time or another, you’ve dreamt of actually playing the sport professionally. But whether it’s because you don’t have the talents or skills, or the idea of running continuously for 90 minutes give or take makes you nauseous, those will remain dreams. Virtually, however, they can actually come true through mobile games. One such game is a new one called Pocket Footballer.
From the Japanese developers Kaya Inc, this mobile game turns you into a square-headed footballer (we don’t know why it’s square though) and play with various people around the world to help lead your team to victory. You can create an avatar that looks exactly like you (only square-faced) or like any of your favorite footballers. And it’s not every man or woman for himself/herself in this game.
Get to chat with your actual teammates before the game so you can strategize how you will win the game. There are 7 scheduled matchers every day and each game is important to lead your team to the top. And as a special launch treat, the game is collaborating with Spanish superstar Andres Iniesta from the Spanish National Team and FC Barcelona. He is one of the playable characters in the game and wouldn’t you give anything to have “El Ilusionista” (The Illusionist) on your team? (Well, unless you’re a Real Madrid fan, that is).
